I am a writer and filmmaker living in Pittsburgh, PA. I spent much of my working life as a colleague of and collaborator with Fred Rogers, creator of MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD for whom I was a scriptwriter, film producer, and with whom I appeared as "Mrs. McFeely" on the MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD program.
Also under the umbrella of the Fred Rogers Company / Family Communications, Inc. I produced documentary films about children and violence, as well as documentaries for OLD FRIENDS, NEW FRIENDS and FRED ROGERS' HEROES. I have made videos for the Smithsonian Institution's Department of American Folk Life, and have made films for and about children under a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Currently I am working on an independent project called "South" which comprises documentary videos and gallery installations about American / personal experiences of being a Northerner with deep roots and sympathies in the South.
